Hit Reset!

These last few months have been challenging to say the least.  Think about it, we are not living in one pandemic but two pandemics simultaneously! On a positive note, I invested in spending time in a virtual women’s retreat this weekend and I was reminded that we are approaching the last 6 months of the year.  Where did the time go? I realize that it is time to hit the reset button and start planning on how to finish the year strong.

Of course the pandemics reminded us all, that man establishes his steps but it is God’s purpose that prevails.  The question is what are you doing with your gift of life? In your time of reflection what is it that you have the unction to do? I would like for you to consider the old Nike commercial and “Just do it.”

Take care and be blessed!

How To Resist Temptation

One of the best ways to resist temptation to sin, is to walk closely with God. Take time to talk with Him before taking action or making a decision.  Keep watch over strife, offenses, unresolved anger, and unforgiveness in your life.  Finally, ask God to grant you discernment and authority to recognize the works of the enemy and to empower you to overcome any temptations that come against you. (James 4:7).

The Silver Lining

People seeking God.

People growing closer to God.

People repenting and turning back to God.

People registering to vote for the first time.

People accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

People of all ages and races protesting together all over the country and the world in support of black lives.

People having the crucial, difficult, and necessary conversations about race relations and social injustice.

People seeking change and policy reform.

In the midst of all that has taken place in the last few months, I choose to believe that there will be a silver lining, and that there will be beauty from the ashes, and some good will come from all the bad that has happen.

Nothing is insurmountable; there is always a will and a way. – Betty Shabazz
