How To Make Peace Your Priority
Is it your goal in life to live peacefully? If so, then you must recognize that stress and frustration are not your friends and that they can show up in your life by ways of over-commitments or in participating in activities that keep us busy, but not productive. There are many things in our lives that very are important, but are they truly necessary? When you realize that your life is filled with stress and frustration, it is time to ask God for wisdom, follow His leading and readjust your priorities to pursue peace. Psalms 34:14.
Is Fear Holding You Back?
I have a couple of questions to ask you, are you comfortable in the safe zone? Or are you afraid of stepping out of comfort zone? Remember the Word of God tells us that we are to walk by faith and not by sight. I believe that faith is where miracles happen, because when we take action and walk by faith we give God something to bless.
Take the Pledge
Self-care–mind, body and spirit is very important. Very often we do so much for others that taking care of ourselves is not in our list of priorities; but we must change that thought process. Bryant McGill states that “taking care of yourself is the most powerful way to begin to take care of others.” The is an ongoing life lesson for me. So I challenge each of you to take the following pledge:
- To ask for what you want in life.
- To remember that you cannot control other people’s actions. Just your reactions.
- To define what happiness means and looks like to you.
- To be more grateful for who’s in your life, instead of who’s not in your life.
- To celebrate each victory, no matter how small.
- To make time for the little things that bring you joy.
Taking time for self-care will empower and strengthen you to take care of others.

It’s Time To Celebrate You!
Celebrating You Ministries hosted its inaugural women’s empowerment event on Saturday, May 5 in Dearborn, MI. The room was filled with love and support for one another. Comedian Dani Thomas had us laughing from the core and Nicole Thomas inspired us all with a message entitled, “You have the Capacity,” The event also included self-awareness and self-development exercises that helped us focus on our goals and dreams.
Celebrating You! Mind, Body, and Spirit was created to inspire women to celebrate ourselves. We play so many roles in life; Mother, Daughter, Wife, Sister, Friend, Aunt, Grandmother, Employee/Employer and Caregiver. Sometimes we lose the person (woman) that we are, while fulfilling our obligations. The Celebrating You! blog and women’s empowerment events are created to encourage, empower, motivate, and inspire you to value not only who you, are but whose you are! The scripture says that you are a masterpiece that has been wonderfully and fearfully made in His likeness. You are worth celebrating your wins, everything that you have gone through has made you stronger. Now It’s time to celebrate you!
